I had the Novasure procedure done the middle of Dec. '09. It worked really well and have not had any complaints. The only question I have is, are there any links between the procedure and migraines/dizziness/lightheadedness ? Or is it likely that those symptoms are completely separate and have nothing to do with the procedure? Thanks so much!

Hi Erin,

When Novasure was first started, it was really for people with very heavy bleeding. However, over the past few years it has been applied to all women that are troubled with heavy or painful bleeding. For sure, it does help with most if not all of your complaints.

I think, from your description, you are the perfect candidate for this procedure. I would be happy to see you in consultation if you have any further questions. This procedure has helped hundreds of my patients.

Thanks for your question,

Dr. M. Haendiges

I was wondering if the Novasure procedure is only for women who have heavy bleeding during periods. I am 39, I started menstruating when I turned 10. Every month I have heavy bleeding and extreme pain all the way around from my waist to my knees. It is nearly debilatating. I am 'down' for the first day and a half to two days every month. I am weak. I am exhausted. I am tired of feeling this badly and everything I am reading about this procedure is only for extreme bleeding that in a sense doesn't stop. Mine does after a week, however. My cycles are getting closer, I am starting my period every 3 weeks now for the past several months. So would this Novasure benefit me or not? Thanks.
